space: area sufficient for some purpose

space: lapse or extent of time between two points, events

space: an interval between two or more points

space: time that is not committed or limited

space: continuous, unbounded, or unlimited extension in every direction

Directing is the harnessing of space

we do not necessarily need vast arena's, although sometimes we do.

we simply need space that is sufficient to hold our vision

sometimes that might be in a small box

sometimes that might be under tall trees

and sometimes that might be on the city streets

can the actor(s) tell the story?

can the audience sense the experience?

the space between two points in time

it is the space between who we were, and who we are

who we want to be

our past, present, and future

it can reveal a lifetime in a single moment, or a single moment in a lifetime

and within that breath the full spectrum of our hearts can be revealed, a solitary joy, a shared nightmare
