THEATRE LUNATICO
I established Theatre Lunatico in 2004 in West Marin, California, as a laboratory theatre company in which I could develop my approach to theatre.
In 2015, now based in Mill Valley, California, working with a dedicated core company of artists the company grew from as small nomadic troupe, becoming the resident company at La Val's Subterranean Theatre in Berkeley, California, in 2017.
Several of our plays were TBA Award Recommended, with two TBA Award nominations for our production of Bryony Lavery's KURSK.
As Artistic Director of Lunatico, I continued to drive the vision of this company remotely from the UK as we all navigated our way through the challenging limitations of COVID-19.
With the competing challenges of the post-COVID-19 era, and the impact of AB5 on freelance theatre artists, Theatre Lunatico has now embraced a collective, community theatre model that has allowed the company to keep producing work within its beloved studio theatre whilst many other Bay Area theatres were forced to shut their doors. An expanding core company of volunteers now run the company, which I resigned from in October 2025
